In the year of the Fire Horse, we put our preparations into practice. We move onto our personal path of destiny and show the world we mean business.
After years of quiet preparation, we are ready to manifest, taking steps that align us with purpose and meaning.
We will combine aspects of feminine and masculine energy to hone our intentions, tone our bodies, sharpen our tools and clear our vision.
This residential retreat will combine practices from Shiatsu, Shin Tai, Qigong and Lightbody Activation from two experienced instructors.
Join us and an intimate group of conscious souls on a journey of self-discovery, community and fun in the warmth of early summer in Lisbon.
On this retreat we will take you on a journey. Shedding the remnants of outdated patterns, including the ancestral, accumulated over lifetimes, our vision clears to see with the eyes of Spirit. Through the wisdom of the body, we awaken and align with our authentic self and soul purpose. Awakening the Warrior within, we build our inner resources and direct our energy through and beyond our personal path of destiny. Finally, we set out to walk the path of the Universal Soul and manifest our dream of a better world.
We draw on our combined expertise of Shiatsu and the healing arts, an alchemy of powerful, energetic bodywork approaches to create a transformative personal and group experience.
Shiatsu, Oriental medicine, Qigong and meditation, tried and trusted threads of the tapestry of arts passed down through countless millennia of Eastern practice.
Shiatsu ShinTai, an innovative healing bodywork developed by Saul Goodman. An evolution of traditional shiatsu and a unique synthesis of bodywork practices such as structural alignment, Hara treatment, fascia release, chakras and energy healing practices.
Lightbody Activation meditation practices to develop energetic perception and alignment to our higher wisdom.
Between Lisbon and the Cascais line, the Hotel Seminário Torre d’Aguilha offers an atmosphere of silence and retreat that is rare so close to the city. Surrounded by gardens and green areas, the setting naturally invites you to slow down, to bring your attention into the body, and to leave the noise of the outside world behind.
Important note: Accommodation is not included in the retreat fee.

Kindy Kaur
Kindy Kaur is an international teacher, specialising in Shiatsu, ShinTai, Qigong and the healing arts. She is former Principal & Director of the British School of Shiatsu-Do in Nottingham, UK.

Chris McAlister
Chris is an international teacher of Shiatsu, operating within the framework not only of the classical Oriental medical tradition, but also the ancient shamanistic practices
still existing within it.
He is co-author of Touching the Invisible: Exploring the Way of Shiatsu and author of The Poetry of Touch: Alchemy, Transformation and Oriental Medicine. A third book, From Source to the Ten Thousand: Shiatsu and Life Practice is currently being proofread and prepared for publication.

Fernanda Sousa Tavares is a Shiatsu teacher and therapist, trained in Zen Shiatsu and Shiatsu Shin Tai. Throughout her journey, she has trained with internationally renowned teachers and integrated into her work approaches such as Fascia work, Sotai, Moxibustion, Cupping Therapy, Reflexology, Reiki and Zen Meditation.
As a teacher, she encourages a conscious listening to the body; as a therapist, she is recognised for her sensitivity, professionalism and personalised approach in supporting healing and self-discovery.
Within the Portuguese Shiatsu landscape, Fernanda has distinguished herself over the years through the training initiatives she organises with international masters. Through this work, she has enabled hundreds of therapists to access high-quality continuing education.
